Your Community, Your Band

The Columbus Jazz Community Band welcomes anyone who has played an instrument to get back into the swing of things! No matter your experience level, join us to practice and perform big band jazz in a fun and engaging environment under the direction of Columbus’s finest musicians.

The band is led by local trombonist Jessica Sneeringer. A highly-regarded Columbus-based musician and educator, Jessica is a frequent performer with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and Famous Jazz Orchestra.

About the Community Band

Who Can Attend

This ensemble is open to adult musicians of all ages who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, or drum set. A fundamental knowledge of your instrument is recommended.

Registration Note

Due to high interest and the limited size of the ensemble, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate all interested participants each season. Placement will be determined by instrument availability.
