Columbus Jazz on Tour immerses students in the sounds of jazz in a fun and interactive setting. 

Led by Columbus Jazz teaching artists, each one-hour concert features performances across the iconic jazz repertoire and educational songs that will have participants jumping, clapping, and singing along. Students will learn about important jazz artists such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Ella Fitzgerald and explore the unique sound and role of each instrument in the band.

About Columbus Jazz on Tour

In Schools

Columbus Jazz on Tour tailors performance experiences to students across grades K to 12. We’ll come to your school and lead students through a fun, interactive performance and teach them about the unique sound and role of instruments.

At Community Events

Beyond schools, our touring assembly band has captivated youth and families at places like Jeni’s Strawberry Jam at Land Grant Brewing, Highland Youth Garden, Creekside Blues & Jazz Fest, and the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
