DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, February 23\, Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra and our Columbus Youth Jazz Big Bands are partnering for an exciting evening of big band music! \nThe Columbus Youth Jazz Workshop\, under the direction of Zach Compston\, and the Columbus Youth Jazz Ensemble\, under the direction of Jessica Sneeringer\, will present mid-semester performances as special guests of the Famous Jazz Orchestra. \nThe Famous Jazz Orchestra is made up of 22 of central Ohio’s finest musicians who have come together nearly every Monday evening since 1997. Their weekly performances are at Boulevard Presbyterian Church—more venue and parking information can be found HERE. \nAdmission is cash only and accepted at the door. The cover charge is $15 for adults and $10 for high school and college students (children are admitted free with a paying guest). Light snacks and soft drinks will be available for cash purchase.

Returning guest artist Dan Wilson joins forces with vocalist Jonathan Elliott for a night devoted to the music of guitar legends like George Benson\, Wes Montgomery\, Pat Metheny\, and Eric Clapton. From smooth jazz grooves and bluesy riffs to soaring melodic lines\, this concert is a guitar lover’s dream and a full-on musical party. Wilson\, a favorite CJO collaborator\, brings his signature warmth and virtuosity back to the stage\, while Elliott’s energetic vocals bring these grooves home.
