Blending performance with storytelling\, this engaging program introduces the rich history\, rhythms\, and improvisational spirit of jazz through lively demonstrations and interactive moments. From swinging classics to vibrant contemporary sounds\, the orchestra showcases the creativity and collaboration at the heart of the music\, inviting young listeners and families alike to the power of jazz as a living\, ever-evolving art form. \nJazz for Young People concerts are hour-long interactive performances for students led by the world renown Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.  \nIntended for grades 5-12\, registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. DESCRIPTION:Columbus Jazz Jam Sessions at Natalie’s are community-focused\, curated events hosted by our Columbus Jazz Faculty. Jazz musicians of all ages and experience levels are invited to participate in the jam. Or\, come and enjoy a bite to eat and a beverage as an audience member and witness the spontaneity of the jam session—a staple of the jazz community. \nThe Jam Session will take place from 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM on the Music Hall Stage. Doors open at 6:30 PM. This program is free and open to all to attend. Donations are suggested at $20 a person. Reservation is required for entry. \nInterested in sitting in with the band?
