DESCRIPTION:The Columbus Jazz Community Band is the chance for anyone who has played an instrument to get back into the swing of things! The CCJB performs big band jazz in a fun and engaging environment under the direction of some of Columbus’s finest musicians. \nThe CJCB is led by trombonist Jessica Sneeringer—one of Columbus’s own highly-regarded musicians and educators\, and a frequent performer with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and Famous Jazz Orchestra. \nRehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6–8 PM\, and the season will culminate with a performance on Wednesday\, April 22.  \nRegistration: Due to increased interest\, we ask that all interested participants complete the CJCB Interest Form below. We will then fill the ensemble based on these submissions. DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, February 23\, Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra and our Columbus Youth Jazz Big Bands are partnering for an exciting evening of big band music! \nThe Columbus Youth Jazz Workshop\, under the direction of Zach Compston\, and the Columbus Youth Jazz Ensemble\, under the direction of Jessica Sneeringer\, will present mid-semester performances as special guests of the Famous Jazz Orchestra. \nThe Famous Jazz Orchestra is made up of 22 of central Ohio’s finest musicians who have come together nearly every Monday evening since 1997. Their weekly performances are at Boulevard Presbyterian Church—more venue and parking information can be found HERE. \nAdmission is cash only and accepted at the door. The cover charge is $15 for adults and $10 for high school and college students (children are admitted free with a paying guest). Light snacks and soft drinks will be available for cash purchase.

SUMMARY:Columbus Jazz Community Band Winter Registration
DESCRIPTION:The Columbus Jazz Community Band is the chance for anyone who has played an instrument to get back into the swing of things! The CJCB performs big band jazz in a fun and engaging environment under the direction of some of Columbus’s finest musicians. \nThis season of CJCB will feature holiday favorites in a traditional big band setting. The CJCB is led by trombonist Jessica Sneeringer—one of Columbus’s own highly-regarded musicians and educators\, and a frequent performer with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and Famous Jazz Orchestra. \nRehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6–8 PM\, and the season will culminate with a performance on Friday\, December 12.  \nRegistration: Due to increased interest\, we ask that all interested participants complete the CCJB Interest Form below. We will then fill the ensemble based on these submissions.
